WorkBuzz launches 2022 five-star employee experience award programme

Employee engagement expert WorkBuzz has today opened its 5 Star Employer Award programme for 2022. The five-star programme recognises organisations who are leading the way in the employee experience (EX) space, that have exceeded industry benchmarks for their engagement score and response rate.

Following its launch in 2019, the Award’s previous winners include renowned brands across a variety of sectors such as private banking company Arbuthnot Latham, automotive specialists LKQ, asset management investors Impax, and care provider Home Instead.

Free to enter for WorkBuzz customers who have over 15 employees, the Award falls into three main categories:

  • Small-to-medium-sized businesses – 15 to 199 employees
  • Large businesses – 200 to 999 employees
  • Enterprise clients – 1000+ employees

To enter the Awards, employers must complete a minimum of two WorkBuzz pulse surveys or a traditional annual survey. Depending on the feedback, the ‘5 Star Employer Award’ will be issued to those who have exceeded employee engagement scores and response rates benchmarks, with the criteria differing between the categories. Winners of the award will then receive a certificate and a logo which can be used to support recruitment materials, and on internal communications.

At a time when the war for talent has never been so apparent, being able to demonstrate to potential employees that you not only proactively champion employee experience but that you have received an independent award recognising your efforts, could give companies the edge during the recruitment process.

Melisaan Foster, Head of Customer Success and Operations comments:

“What makes the 5 Star Awards unique is that they are based on the confidential feedback from thousands of employees who complete regular, confidential engagement surveys. Our customers love taking part because it helps to identify them as a great place to work to potential employees, but most importantly, because it gives them the knowledge and the boost that their people are happy and all that they are doing EX-wise is working.”

WorkBuzz has been helping organisations gather feedback from their employees since 2018 to improve engagement levels and reduce staff turnover, and the 5 Star Awards further supports this, helping to recognise employers who are prioritising employee experience and actively looking to improve the working lives of their people.

WorkBuzz’s Founder and CEO, Steven Frost, said:

“At WorkBuzz we believe that exceptional employee experience deserves to be recognised and celebrated. During a time when employers are being especially scrutinised, the 5 Star Employer Awards give us the opportunity to highlight those companies who are doing many of the right things in the employee experience space.

Our five-star awards stand out because they are not a branding exercise. The Awards have a data-driven criteria and the results are powerful because they come straight from the horse’s mouth – the actual employees of each company who enter.”
