Melisaan is an experienced consultant in employee communications and engagement with a demonstrated history of working across a variety of sectors and regions and a passion for creating inclusive cultures.
She has a depth of experience in internal communications and led ‘Communicate for Success’ in 2018 – the thought and action group that focuses on communications under the Engage for Success banner. Melisaan was awarded the Mark of Excellence, Outstanding Young Communicator award at the CIPR Excellence Awards in 2018, was recognised as an Inspiring Leader by Inspiring Workplaces™ in 2020 and judged the IoIC (Institute of Internal Communication) Awards in 2020/21.
Dorothy is a very tenacious, no nonsense HR Professional – acutely commercially aware of her HR based guidance and decisions and using humour (where appropriate), sympathy (where relevant), directness (where necessary) but always consistent, honest and respectful in her approach. She works very well with the operators, giving sound business advice and challenge at every level. She has a proven ability to connect with management at all levels, employees, human resources business partners, and other stakeholders in developing plans and training programmes for employee satisfaction and corporate change in an evolving environment.
Currently the Talent and Development Manager at Hanson UK she has 15+ years’ experience in talent acquisition and retention, employee engagement, project and budget management to build high performing teams and sustainable personnel advancement.
